The 5th day of Rockstart saw a “Meet the Mentors” session where nine of the ventures pitched their ideas in 2 minutes to a room full of national and international experts who will be coaching ideas through the 100-day program. The program which has been running in collaboration with One To Watch has selected 10 participants, Abari, Bloom Nepal School, Inter Continental Systems, Red Mud, Smart Tech Solution, Uchik Jaivik Mal Udhyog, Waste Concern, Team Consultants, Suddha Muhan ko Khanepani Sewa and Fresh Meats. The ventures were selected on the basis of their scalability and social impact. Each venture is unique in its own way with ideas that range from building modern structures with bamboo and earth to second generation-run ventures who seek to expand their business with new technology. “It’s exciting to see the second-generation entrepreneurs participating in Rockstart Impact. I think we can really see the ‘Impact’ through them,” says Niraj Khanal, Country Director of One To Watch. The participants will be going through various stages of the accelerator up until Demo Day on 12th March when these ventures will be pitching their ideas in front of investors.
